PilgrimageQuestions

Interested in any advice that those who have made pilgrimages might have for a first time pilgrim. I have seen a couple sites, one says in Medjugorje they use euro's another sites says they use croatian monies. Some say dollars are fine other say no. Can anyone who has been there recently clarify this confusion.

Thanks,

Andy

I have been in Medjugorje last August.
I can confirm you that they accept Euros everywhere.

And they accept U.S. dollars

Don’t bother with the local currency. You can only spend it in B+H.

No, but the rates are way above high. So expect a big bill afterwards. Try fasting from the phone for a week. You'll save a fortune! :)

They do take Euros, US dollars, and Croatian Kuna so, you will be ok with either. To be honest, I didn't see anyone use BiH marks (I believe that's what they are called). As for the cell phone, don't bother, it will be very very expensive.
