Hello everyone,

If you believe in the Power of the Rosary PLEASE take some time to Read, Sign & Circulate the information in this email. Please click on the links below to view the petition and blog, but first a little history....

.....On January 6, 2010 a package containing a letter and a copy of a petition was sent to Father John Corapi, informing him of a "Nationwide Rosary Campaign" petition requesting his leadership. On January 19, the (NRC) Nationwide Rosary Campaign leadership received conformation that the package was delivered and signed for.

Included in the letter was the date the petition was scheduled to go-live (January 22, 2010), as well as a link to the petition. This is where we are today - the petition has just gone-live.

So please join us in this wonderful campaign and spread the word to as many people as possible. As mentioned, Father Corapi has the link to the petition and is able to keep track of its progress.....Might he have a particular number of signatures in mind before signing on? If so, please help us to hit that number!!!

Click here for the petition: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/usarosary/
And here for the blog: http://nationwiderosarycampaign09.wordpress.com/

The power of the Rosary cannot be underestimated!

Thank You & God's Blessings!
PS for those who are not familiar with Father Corapi, you can visit his website at

MaryMargaret welcome to the forum. :D

I'm sure that you mean well, and most certainly praying the rosary is always a good idea, but it seems wrong to me to attach anyone's name to a project simply because something was sent to them in the mail. Just my opinion.

I cannot see anything wrong in this although I understand the forum has to be careful a liitle research will show Fr John Corapi has an amazing history and conversion story who was obviously called by Name to the ministry.

Do not be anxious but in everything by prayer and petition....Philippians 4:6-7

I dont think Our Lady would think this wrong we need to pray pray pray
for America and all the nations.

God Bless

Patricia :D

I'm not questioning the character or appropriateness (not exactly a word) of Fr. Corapi by any means. I'm objecting to the petitioners assigning his name to this project without his permission. Sending him the petition in the mail, doesn't give them the go ahead to use his name to gain attention for their cause. Who knows - he may support it, but unless he does, they shouldn't use his name. Once again, just my opinion, and it has nothing to do with this forum.

ETA: appropriateness is a word when you begin it with an "a" instead of an "s"
I guess spellchecker was trying it's best to tell me that.

I see what you mean but Im sure he wouldn't mind, however when do we have to ask permission to pray the rosary for any particular cause?

God Bless

One should not just assume anything......If someone is going to use someone else`s name, they should at least get permission...

If I'm not mistaken, the petition is going to be sent to Fr. Corapi to pursuade him to direct a NATIONWIDE ROSARY CAMPAIGN. This, in essence, is a petition to ask him to lead an initiative.

I guess my question was why would it take a petition to get Fr. Corapi to do this? If he doesn't want or cannot do this for some reason, will a petition get him to change his mind?

I do support the underlying desire to do something to change the direction America is headed in and if signing a petition would help encourage this, then I would support it.

As a side note, I wonder if our new forum member MaryMargaret is the same as Sister MaryMargaret that I've seen on EWTN?

I'm sorry - I misunderstood as well.

I think there was a notice in our church either last October, or the October before, that there was a national day for uniting in praying the rosary. I don't remember if the intention was for life, or for the US or what, but I thought it was a great idea.

I'm sorry - I read the original post wrong in how Fr. Corapi's name was being used in this initiative. My apologies to all. :)

The Blessed Mother never commands we do anything. She asks, she recommends, she guides - never commands. :)

She does ask us for peace. :)

Our Lady CALLS us to the Two Greatest Commandments

Our Lady is calling us to her son JESUS which is the greatest commandment.

You shall Love the Lord your God with all your Heart
and with all your Soul and with all your Mind.
This is the Great and First Commandment and the Second is like it

'You shall Love your Neighbour as yourself

On these Two Commandments depends all the law of the Prophets.
