The novena to the Holy Spirit starts every year the day after the Ascention to the day before the Decent of the Holy Spirit.
There are booklets out for this, but prayers can be made up to the Holy Spirit. The idea is to pray to the Holy Spirit every day for nine days, in hopes it continues.

Jim, that is so neat...I started saying the Holy Spirit Novena 2 days ago! I haven't said it for awhile...but it is A POWERFUL NOVENA as it has never failed me yet! And today I really felt the Holy Spirit's power in my life!
